If you love dance but are missing on your dose of live dance performances, then worry not. Danseuse Madhu Nataraj and STEM Dance Kampni present Nayika on December 8 at . The online event will be hosted by Natya Institute and STEM Dance Kampani and is about a a bespoke choreography in response to two miniature paintings, as part of the launch of – MAP- Museum of Art & Photography’s event “Arts is Life”. There will be an introductory talk by William Dalrymple.
Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography is Asia’s first and India’s only college of choreography founded by legendary Kathak guru, President of India awardee and cultural ambassador, Guru Dr. Maya Rao. Natya is a proud alma mater to over 3000 students the world over.
Headed by Madhu Nataraj, STEM (Space.Time.Energy.Movement) Dance Kampni, Natya’s performing unit, has an original and a unique repertoire of over 100 short sequences and about 60 productions. The Kampni has marked India on the global landscape of performing arts and has performed in over 40 countries with a missionary zeal to spread the essence of Indian performing arts.
