Madhuri Dixit Nene’s light kurta + churidar set was ideal for her classical dance session during self-isolation. Here’s a breakdown of her look

Madhuri Dixit Nene is an ardent dancer, to say the least. Even amid the mandated coronavirus lockdown, the 52-year-old has kept up with her strenuous routines as she stays confined to her Mumbai apartment. Just a few days after the actor put up a clipping of her classical dance practise with her teacher on video call, Dixit Nene shared another dance video on her Instagram page recently. This time around, the star performed Kathak, while her son Arin played the tabla, before joining his mother for a quick lesson. “Quarantine is making all of us do things that we’ve always wanted to. Watch till the end to find out what I have always wanted to do,” the star captioned the video, ending her message with the hashtag #WhenArinDancedWithMadhuri. For her impromptu dance class, the Kalank actor picked a lightweight ivory and green kurta set. In case you missed this, scroll through to take a closer look at her outfit.

Madhuri Dixit Nene’s kurta featured geometric prints

Madhuri Dixit Nene relied on a fuss-free kurta, with her dupatta tied at the waist, to ensure freedom of movement for her Kathak practise. The green three-quarter sleeves and hem injected a jolt of colour to her otherwise neutral-toned ensemble. Her kurta was further highlighted with small circular motifs, proving that geometric designs can look just as interesting as florals. She completed her dance look with nothing but a pair of delicate earrings, matching bangles and ghungroos. With just a swipe of lipstick, Dixit Nene got camera-ready with a sleek ponytail.

As the weather gets muggier, now is a good time to invest in a relaxed kurta + churidar set like Madhuri Dixit Nene’s. You can wear it for your next video call with friends or colleagues, or simply lounge in it. Below, we’ve found similar separates that can help you recreate her look.
