The 2021 Four Seasons in Music series at the Sands Point Preserve starts with a musical celebration of beginnings and dreams for our future. Created by Artistic Director Kathryn Lockwood, this brilliant concert will inspire your dreams with works by Bach, Beethoven, Dvorák, Rhiannon Giddens, Jessie Montgomery, Yousif Sheronick, William Grant Still, Anjna Swaminathan, and Andrew Waggoner.

During the pandemic, the concerts are recorded in Hempstead House, then on view on the Conservancy’s YouTube channel, free of charge for all.

  • Rhapsodie No. 1 by Jessie Montgomery (b. 1981)
  • Finale from the American String Quartet by Antonin Dvorák (1841 – 1904) 
  • Mejorana y Socavon & Cumbia y Congo from Danzas de Panama by William Grant Still (1895 – 1978)
