French Music Scheme Gives Children A Taste Of Orchestra Life For Free

For the past ten years, Démos (a musical and orchestral education system with a social mission) has been taking music to neighbourhoods where the conservatory seems out of reach. It’s a success story with some 50% of Demos students continuing to practice music after a three-year cycle, according to the Cité de la Musique-Philharmonie de Paris, which runs the scheme.
