Aditi Rao Hydari is no stranger to draped silhouettes and printed ensembles. A quick look through her style files over the years will tell you that the actor has garnered an envy-worthy bohemian-inspired wardrobe through homegrown labels, and her collection includes everything from embroidered dresses, designer jackets and kaftans, to printed kurtas. In fact, the star’s most recent Instagram post also shows her dressed in an easy, laid back look. In case you missed it, Rao Hydari shared a video of herself performing a teermanam, which is a routine that brings a Bharat Natyam dance perfomance to an end, dressed in a classic black tank top and not-so-basic trousers. Her draped harem pants, which came in a pretty shade of blue, featured a traditional block print that instantly spruced up her at-home look. Keep scrolling to find a similar option for yourself now.

“While I’m making quite a mess of her stunning choreography, going back to something I’ve done since I was five, feels as natural as breathing,” Aditi Rao Hydari wrote alongside her new video, which showed her dancing to the sound of a waterfall. “While I was recording a teermanam for my guru Leela Samson’s birthday, I suddenly turned off the music,” the actor explained. “The sound of the water flowing reminded me of this Ardhanareeshwara ashtakam, which was choreographed by her.”
Inspired by the movement of a traditional dhoti, harem pants like the ones Aditi Rao Hydari wore here often come with a dropped crotch and gathers at the ankles. While other stars including Janhvi Kapoor and Kriti Sanon have worn kurta + sharara sets for their dance classes, in the past Hydari’s pick stands out with equal impact. The actor skipped on all accessories to draw focus to her routine. If you want to recreate the her easy-going OOTD at home or to run errands, we’ve got you covered.
